Following is a brief overview of some of the site development projects completed by Hobbs, Upchurch & Associates in the past several years: Best Western Wingate Inn, North Myrtle Beach, South CarolinaA 5 acre commercial development in N. Myrtle Beach. Project duties included water, sewer, storm drainage, erosion control, entrance roadway and parking design, as well as coordination with SCDHEC, OCRM and the City of North Myrtle Beach. Biltmore Office Complex, Pinehurst, North CarolinaSite work design for 6.5 acres made up of 4 office buildings and 300 space parking facility. Work included grading, drainage, parking layout, 2000 LF gravity sewer, 700 LF water main, 1750 LF of new roadway with curb and gutter and all permits required for construction. Food Lion, Siler City, North CarolinaSite work development for 10 acre site off of Hwy. 64. Site included 40,000 square foot Food Lion, 200 space parking lot and out parcel. Project included layout, design of drives and parking, grading, drainage, erosion control, water and sewer. K-Mart, Southern Pines, North Carolina Site work design services for
a new 180,000 square foot K-Mart retail building with approximately 1,200
parking spaces. Additional new roadways, water and sewer utility extensions,
and all topographic surveys, site work layout and design, grading, drainage,
storm water management pond, water line extensions, sanitary sewer extensions
are also included in the approximate 68 acre development. K-Mart's facility
comprises approximately 38 acres leaving six other out parcels for future
development.LakeShore Village at Broadway, Myrtle Beach, South CarolinaSite work design for a 42 acre commercial park. The design included permitting and coordination with DHEC and the City of Myrtle Beach, project design and construction certification for streets, storm drainage, water, sewer, and site design. Project includes infrastructure design as well as site design for two restaurants and two hotels. Marriott Residence Inn, Morrisville, North CarolinaSite design for Marriott Residence Inn development. Project included layout, design of drives and parking, grading, drainage, erosion control, landscaping, topographic and boundary surveying, construction stakeout, ALTA as-built surveying and mapping. Geotechnical involvement included Phase I Environmental Assessment and soils report. Queensgate Development, Lancaster County, South CarolinaSite work design for 40 acre mixed-use development that includes commercial, retail, office facilities and 154 residential units. Project includes stormwater, erosion control, grading, water/sewer utilities and DOT encroachments. Richmond Community College, Hamlet, North CarolinaSite design for new Fine Arts Center. Duties included grading, storm drainage, erosion control, pavements and utilities. Project consisted of a 1,000-seat auditorium built on a 6.5 acre parcel of the existing campus. Educational Complex, Fort Bragg, North CarolinaPreparation of traffic study of multiple intersections surrounding Educational Complex. Recommended improvements to maximize pedestrian safety. Assisted in the preparation of traffic study, including traffic counts, traffic flow pattern analysis, parking study and intersection analysis for new mini-mall on base. Various Sites, North Carolina Department of CorrectionTopographic surveying, designed site layout plan, and designed and managed construction/installation of roadways, parking lots, grading, stormwater drainage, water and sanitary sewer lines, gas lines and underground electric utilities services. Each facility on a campus-style compound consists of dormitories, administration buildings, food service buildings, recreation facilities, classroom and educational buildings, perimeter security fencing, inmate support services buildings, and a chase road system
