Mayodan, North Carolina
HUA completed a study that evaluated consolidation of three municipal
wastewater systems in Madison, Stoneville, and Mayodan, North Carolina. The
project evolved into consolidation of the three systems and expansion of the
Mayodan WWTP to accommodate flows from the other municipalities. HUA helped
obtain over $5.7 million in funding for the project from the Clean Water
Management Trust Fund, the North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center,
and the North Carolina State Revolving Loan program.
As part of the funding requirements, HUA completed a 201 Facilities Plan and
design of the West Rockingham County wastewater system. HUA designed pumping
systems for Madison and Stoneville to a new sewer outfall and an upgrade of the
WWTP in Mayodan from 3.0 MGD to 4.5 MGD. HUA also provided construction
management and inspection for the project.
